M2 Machines Auto Lifts: What’s in store for the line?
By: Steve Hakari
The Auto-Lift line from M2 has always been a hit with collectors, and has been a constant with their releases until the last year.
From the very beginning of the series, there has been appearances of some of M2s most popular castings including: 1957 Chevy Bel-Air, 1953 Studebaker 2R Truck, 1956 Ford F-100, and various Ford Mustangs. Just to name a few. Slowly these have been dwindling in numbers on the primary markets and somewhat on the secondary market, as there has been a surge in popularity. Collectors have found, that Hobby Lobby and Fred Meyer stores are pretty much the only retail stores that now regularly carry them. The latest release, was the 2014 SEMA Show Exclusive set of the 1968 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet(pictured above). Some of the most popular castings with collectors, are the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and the 1967 Chevrolet Nova SS(Both pictured below). Is the line going the way of the Stretch-Rods and taking a break from the market for a spell, or will we not see them any more? We will just have to wait and see. Im pretty sure that M2 isn’t done with this line, the collectors definitely enjoy it. Good Hunting….
